The natural phosphorus cycle has been disrupted by human activity, which necessitates the development of new methods for the sustainable production of phosphorus compounds, and efficient recovery and recycling schemes.
The photostimulated luminescence (PSL) and thermally stimulated luminescence (TSL) of Y2SiO5-Ce3+ and Y2SiO5-Ce3+, Sm3+ is reported and discussed. The PSL measurements show that these compositions are rather efficient X-ray storage phosphors with a short response and decay time (35+or-10ns). A model for the recombination mechanism is suggested on the basis of PSL and TSL measurements.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
