satisfactory alternative to other available drugs. Furthermore, the product was well tolerated and no side effects were observed at the stated dose and frequency of application. This apparent absence of toxicity could be a valuable feature of the treatment, particularly because products such as organophosphates and organochlorines are fairly toxic, especially in kittens. The only disadvantage of the treatment was the fairly long persistence of crusts, which may cause itching and have a psychologically negative impact. Considering the few animals tested in this preliminary study, further experiments are required to assess more precisely the efficacy of Canidor in dogs and cats.
