Writing abilities of students in various levels of education are generally still not appropriate with the expectation. The basic problem is due to time limitation in writing learning. These problems can occur in the learning outside of the classroom. Time as one of the obstacles in the learning process can be overcome by combining learning with extracurricular activities, namely scouts. It is necessary to develop an adequate inquiry model for the implementation of the learning activities, namely the inquiry model of panorama map. The inquiry model panorama map integrated with scout activities has syntactic, including (1) orientation phase, (2) ideal phase, (3) adjustment, (4) description phase, (5) assessment, and (6) generalization phase.
This study aimed at planning, constructing, and examining a computer-based learning media to support the implementation ofconstructivist learning in the metrology subject matter. The study usedthe Research and Development (RD) approach. The research stagesincluded: (1) competencies identification, (2) literature review, (3) software development, (4) quality testing, (5) empirical testing, (6) monitoring, (7) software revision, and (8) recording the program.Quantitative data were collected by means of observation sheets, depth interview, and documentation. Data were analyzed using thedescriptive quantitative analysis technique. The results showed that:(1 the quality of the developed media was 73, 13 % (good), (2) thequality of program presentation was at 72, 66 % (good), and (3) theresult of student testing was 76, 14 % (good). It was concluded thatthe developed media was appropriate for use in teaching and learningactivities.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
