Efficiency of Inseticides in the Control of Liriomyza sativae Blanch. (Diptera: Agromyzidae) and of Scrobipalpuloides absoluta (Meir.) (Lepidoptera: Gelechiidae) in Tomato Plants.The efficiency of four insecticides and one vegetable extractto control Liriornyza sativae Blanch. and Scrobipalpuloides absoluta (Meir.) in tomato plantation, in Paty do Alferes district, Rio de Janeiro, was evaluated. The experiment was conducted with six treatments and four replications during November-December, 1991. The only treatment efficient to control S. absoluta and L. sativae was Vertimec 18 CE (abamectin).
