Flowerlike MoS 2 nanoparticles have been successfully synthesized through a mild solvothermal reaction with the aid of ethanol aqueous solution, and the samples have been characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and low temperature nitrogen adsorption-desorption. The nanometer flower MoS 2 is composed of ultrathin nanosheets of approximately 10 nanometers in thickness. The influence of the reaction temperature and the reaction time on the formation of the flowerlike MoS 2 nanoparticles were evaluated. The optimal experimental conditions were determined as follows: the molar ratio of 1∶1 between ethanol and water, the reaction temperature of 190°C, and the reaction time of 24 h.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
