A one-step microwave-assisted pyrolysis of ionic liquid process is developed to synthesize carboncoated LiFePO 4 by using the ionic liquid [BMIm]N(CN) 2 as a carbon source. A thin layer of uniform and nanoscaled carbon¯lm is formed on the LiFePO 4 particles surface with a strong interface. The electrochemical properties of LiFePO 4 are improved due to the carbon coating which increases the electronic conductivity of LiFePO 4 . The results indicate that the microwaveassisted pyrolysis of ionic liquid process is a rapid and e±cient method to prepare carbon-coated LiFePO 4 material and other carbon-coated electrode materials.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
