The global innovation of information technology fundamentally reshaped the finance technology and the flourishing development over the past decade. The high coverage of both the internet network and the mobile phone has facilitated Taiwan to become one of the most potential internet finance regions. This study aims to empirically validate the technology acceptance model (TAM 3) for exploring the key factors that influence the internet finance development. SEM was adopted to investigate both the hypothesis and the path coefficient associations among the constructs and their significance. Confirmed factor analysis for the instrument validity and reliability assessment was made. Hierarchy regression was performed to test the moderator effect of experience and voluntariness. This study result found that Taiwan finance customers had high expectations of information security and preferred high technology products with complex functions. The result demonstrated that customer's Use Behavior was influenced by Perceived of Usefulness, not Perceived of Ease of Use. The moderator effect result in Experience had a positive moderator effect on Objective Usability to Perceived Ease of Use. This research extracted the key factors that influenced the internet finance development in Taiwan for providing both local government and internet finance developing countries guidelines while concurrently developing an internet finance development strategy.
Purpose The purpose of this paper is threefold: developing an effectiveness communication model for a city rotary event. Empirical validation of the new effectiveness model based on a city cultural festival event to explore the similarity and difference of perception change on event attendance. Providing a structural equation modeling (SEM) analysis of communication model for both professional event organizers and PCO guidelines when determining an event’s marketing strategy priorities. Design/methodology/approach The authors use SEM to verify the relationship between variables, and path coefficient comparison analysis which was adapted for model verification and hypothesis testing. Analytical methods included reliability analysis, descriptive statistical analysis, Hotelling T 2-test, SEM analysis. Findings This result demonstrates that attendee increased their emotion, attitude, city brand image as result of the event activities, and positive event emotions have the highest influence toward to a positive city’s brand emotion. A positive city brand emotion especially has the second highest influence on attendee next event retentions. A positive city brand emotion will lead to a positive city brand attitude, but city brand attitudes will not have a positive impact on retentions. Originality/value The contribution and value of this study is that the authors established a new effectiveness communication model which introduce the city branding concept into the research. The study provides empirical evidence of the effectiveness illustrations of the application in the communication model. The research meets the objective in this effectiveness communication model. It illustrates the directions for how an event should be designed in order to create a positive city brand attitude for retention.
Knee osteoarthritis (OA) affects the quality of life (QOL) of elderly people; this study examines the demographic characteristics and QOL of patients with knee OA and identifies demographic characteristics that affect the QOL of these patients. In this cross-sectional study, 30 healthy controls and 60 patients with mild-to-moderate bilateral knee OA aged between 55 and 75 years were enrolled. All participants completed a questionnaire containing questions on 10 demographic characteristics and the Medical Outcome Study 36-Item Short-Form Health Survey (SF-36), and their QOL scores in the eight dimensions of the SF-36 were evaluated. In the OA group, significant correlations were observed between monthly disposable income and physical and mental health components. Monthly disposable income was found to considerably affect the QOL of patients with bilateral knee OA (i.e., it is a crucial factor affecting these patients). The findings of this study may provide a reference for formulating preventive strategies for healthy individuals and for future confirmatory research.

This paper, evaluates and compares the heterogeneous balancevariation order pair of any two decision-making trial and evaluation laboratory (DEMATEL) theories, in which one has a larger balance and a smaller variation. In contrast, the other one has a smaller balance and a larger variation. With this said, the first author proposed a useful integrated validity index to evaluate any DEMATEL theory presence by combining Liu's balanced coefficient and Liu's variation coefficient. Applying this new validity index, three DEMATELs kinds with a same direct relational matrix are compared that are: the traditional, shrinkage, and balance. Furthermore, conducted is a simple validity experiment Results. show that the balance DEMATEL has the best performance. And that, the shrinkage coefficient's performance is better than that of the traditional DEMATEL.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
