A novel concept of a thrombolytic material whose activity is triggered by the generation of a clot/thrombus is developed.

HNU-49 exhibits interesting piezofluorochromic behavior and the luminescence reversibly changes from blue to green. It can encapsulate RhB successfully, and near white-light emission can be obtained by precisely controlling the concentration of RhB and the pressure used.

Protein–polymer conjugates are prepared via host–guest interactions and the effects of various parameters on protein activity are investigated.
