A practical
copper-catalyzed nitration of electron-rich arenes
with trimethylsilyl chloride and guanidine nitrate is reported. A
variety of nitrated products were generated in moderate to excellent
yields (32–99%) at ambient temperature under acid-free, open-flask,
and operationally simple conditions.
An iron-catalyzed dearomative amination of β-naphthols via nitrene-transfer process has been developed. Oxadiazolones, which have rarely been applied for the synthesis of amidines, are used as the nitrene sources. A...
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
