One of interesting properties of Bi4Ti3O12 is photocatalyst. The band gap of Bi4Ti3O12 is 2.9 eV as results only work at ultraviolet wavelength range. Metal doped to Bi4Ti3O12 can reduce band gap energy. In this work, Bi4Ti3O12 was doped vanadium (Bi4Ti3-x
V
x
O12 with x= 0.05; 0.1; 0.15; 0.2) using solid state reaction method. X-ray diffraction data show that Bi4Ti3-x
V
x
O12 (x= 0.05; 0.1; 0.15; 0.2) were successfully formed with space group B2cb, however there is small impurities of VO2 phase. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) images showed that the particle of all obtained Bi4Ti3-x
VxO12 (x= 0.05; 0.1; 0.15; 0.2) have shape platelet-like. Diffuse Reflectance Spectroscopy data showed that the energy band gap of Bi4Ti3-x
V
x
O12 decreased by increasing vanadium dopant.
Optimization of hierarchical ZSM-5 structure by variation of the first hydrothermal step at different times provides insight into the evolution of micro/mesopores and its effect as a catalyst for deoxygenation reaction.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
