Village Funds and Village Status in Central Java Province
Year 2019 is the fifth year of implementation of village fund in Indonesia. At the beginning of its implementation in 2015, village funds were budgeted at IDR 20.8 trillion, which has increased to 3.5 times and reaching about IDR 70 trillion in 2019. This research is aimed to describe village funds and villages status in Central Java Province and the relationship between them. Data to be used are secondary data consisting of village funds and village status according to IDM year 2018 and 2019 in Central Java Province. The analyses used in this research are descriptive statistics and simple regression. Results show that village funds in Central Java Province increase about 14.7% in 2019 and there is an increase in the aggregate of village status. Regression analysis showed that changes in the amount of village funds did not significantly affect the change of village status in Central Java Province.
In integrated organic farming, smallholder farmers tend to work collectively in a group with the norms that bind their behaviours. This study aims to explore norms among the farmers with the case of organic rice farming in Ketapang Village, Susukan Sub district, Semarang, Indonesia. The study employed the qualitative case study method and applied Ostrom’s Institutional Analysis and Development framework. The norms among these farmers included only planting local varieties, using natural pest repellent, jointly cultivating the land, fairness in water distribution and prioritising rice consumption for farming families rather than profiting from the sale of rice products.
Smart tourism destination is applied as the advance application of smart cities concept. Smart tourism destination integrates the advance technology application into advanced physical infrastructures in order to enhance a city competitiveness by focusing on innovative service for the tourists. However, in its application, a significant issue related to governments’ capacity is aroused. The government needs to be more innovative, adaptive and technology focused as providers of infrastructure and data. There is a call for multi actors’ collaboration to overcome this issue. Hence, this paper aims to conceptualize multi actors’ collaboration in managing a smart tourism destination. The framework was developed by reviewing the concepts of smart tourism, governance, collaboration, and coopetition. The collaboration among actors can be developed by considering collaboration background, purpose and motivation, member selection, as well as trust. These actors might involve in a cooperation, coordination, collaboration and/or coopetition.
