Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengumpulkan dan meringkas beberapa sumber pustaka terbaru tentang Internet of Things (IoT) dengan tiga sudut pandang: Sejarah, Cara Kerja dan Manfaat IoT. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah mengunakan metode Systematic Literature Review. Hasil dari penelitian adalah sejarah awal mula IoT pada tahun 2009 oleh Kevin Ashton dengan melakukan penelitian tentang komunikasi antara Machine to Machine (M2M). Ide dasar dari IoT adalah menghubungkan beberapa perangkat dan bertukar data dengan perangkat lainnya dalam satu jaringan. Saat ini perkembangan cara kerja IoT mengalami perkembangan pesat seperti penambahan fitur Security dan Blockchain. IoT membawa dampak yang sangat baik untuk institusi pemerintah, industri, pendidikan dan kesehatan. Kata kunci: Machine to Machine, Internet of things, History, Systematic Literature Review. Abstract: This paper aims to collect and summarize some of the latest literature sources about IoT Internet of Things (IoT) with three points of view: History, Working and IoT Benefits. The method in this research is using Systematic Literature Review method. The result of the research is the early history of IoT started in 2009 by Kevin Ashton by doing research on communication between Machine to Machine (M2M). The basic idea of IoT is to connect multiple devices and exchange data with other devices in one network. Currently the development of the IoT's way of experiencing rapid development such as the addition of Security features and Blockchain. IoT has an excellent impact on government, industry, education and health institutions.
