Excitation functions for 160 (ct, n) and 2~ (e, n) have been measured from threshold to 26 and 31 MeV compound excitation energy, respectively. The dominating compound states are interpreted as boson excitation modes of nuclei with e-particle structure.
The excitation function 24Mg(e, n)278i has been measured from threshold to 27 MeV excitation energy. A survey is given of the experimental excitation functions * 2C(e, n) a sO, 160(e, n)19Ne, Z~ n)Z3Mg and 24Mg(e, n)27Si and HF calculations have been made for them. The agreement is good within a factor of 2. The deviations of the experimental data from the pure statistical cross sections show common structures which can be interpreted as direct contributions.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
