This article presents a 5.2 GHz high‐efficiency rectifier, based on a Class‐F Dickson charge pump, for use in RF energy harvesting systems. A single‐stage Dickson charge pump with two Schottky diodes was adopted to produce a high‐output DC voltage. A harmonic source‐pull simulation was conducted to optimize the third harmonic impedance for the Class‐F harmonic termination. The proposed scheme is verified by designing and implementing a hybrid Class‐F Dickson charge pump for the 5.2 GHz band using two Schottky diodes in a package. The proposed rectifier has a very small size of 19 18 mm2, and the implemented rectifier exhibited a high RF‐to‐DC conversion efficiency of 64.1% and an output DC voltage of 5.1 V at an input power of 24 dBm for the 5.2 GHz single‐tone signal.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
