Surprising nucleophilic reactions of the metalloligand [Pt 2 (PPh 3) 4 (-S) 2 ] with metavanadate and molybdate ions, and uranyl nitrate, monitored using electrospray ionisation mass spectrometry (ESMS), reveals new and facile synthetic routes to the 'earlylate' heterobimetallic complexes [Pt 2 (PPh 3) 4 ( 3-S) 2 VO(OMe) 2 ] + , [Pt 2 (PPh 3) 4 ( 3-S) 2 MoO 2 (OMe)] + , and [Pt 2 (PPh 3) 4 ( 3-S) 2 UO 2 ( 2-NO 3) 2 ], the first example of a sulfidebridged platinum-uranium complex.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
