In order to substitute the traditional electroplate which caused electricity wastage and contamination, the TiO 2 film/C (diamond) were prepared by the sol-gel method. The micrograph, structure and properties of TiO 2 film/C were studied using scanning electron microscopy, energy dispersive spectroscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, Fourier-Raman and thermogravimetry-differential scanning calorimetry. The results showed that the oxidation temperature of the coated TiO 2 diamond in the air was 650uC, which is higher 150uC than that of the uncoated diamond. For the coated TiO 2 diamond vitrified bond grinding wheel, compared with the uncoated diamond vitrified bond grinding wheel, the hardness was increased 13% and the grinding ratio to the carbide (WC-6 wt-%Co) was also increased 220%.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
