A two-story masonry housing model was made in this paper. According to Intensity 7, adjusted Northridge record was selected to be the ground motion input in the pseudo-dynamic test. Pseudo-dynamic test and pseudo-static test were carried out to investigate the seismic behavior of the model structure. The time-history curves of the acceleration, velocity, displacement and restoring force of the structural response were obtained besides the time-history curves of the measuring points of the structure. Also the steel strain of the tie-columns and the hysteresis loops of the structure were obtained. The result shows multi-story confined masonry structures possess superior seismic performance if coordinated with the provision specified in the current compulsory design code and it can continue to use after appropriate dressing under the rarely earthquake.
Large turbine–generator foundation can reduce the vibration in an effective way by mounting vibration isolating springs when the equipments are operating. But under strong earthquake actions, the research of seismic behavior is presently limited to theoretical calculation and there are no test results or observation data. In this paper, 1:10 spring vibration isolating foundation model is made to carry out a pseudo–dynamic seismic test. This paper also analyzes the deform distribution of column and spring of turbine–generator foundation under horizontal earthquake actions. The test results show that because of the spring of column top, deform distribution of foundation has changed; column top displacement of each column is different; spring can regulate the internal force of the column and these springs are also able to resist horizontal earthquake action when they are reducing the vibration of the equipments.
To investigate the dynamic characteristics of the horizontally encrypted column network spring vibration isolated turbine-generator foundation, according to similarity theory, a 10:1 scale model of the horizontally encrypted column network spring vibration isolated turbine-generator foundation, including two condensers, was tested on site, and the dynamic characteristics of the model are analyzed by excitation method, and the natural frequencies, mode shapes and damping ratio of the integral structure are acquired. This study shows that the first two mode shapes of the turbine-generator foundation are translation and torsion, the high mode shape is accompanied by column-end swing and local distortion; the condenser is more stable in the integral structure; the natural frequency of this foundation is higher than the dual-row column spring vibration isolated turbine-generator foundation, and it is significantly lower than rigid foundation, and the mode shape distribution is different from them.
To research seismic performance of the strengthened masonry structure, the two stories masonry structure housing model with added ring-beams and tie-columns was designed and made in this paper. By inputting acceleration time-history curve of rarely earthquake of Intensity 7, the seismic response of acceleration, speed, restoring force and displacement of the strengthened masonry structure were obtained through the pseudo-dynamic test when rarely earthquake of Intensity 7 occurred. The reinforcement strain time-history curves of tie-columns root and beam-column junction were tested, then the restoring force-displacement curve of the structure was obtained. By method of pseudo-static test, the strengthened masonry structure of the ultimate limit bearing capacity, limit deformation were obtained, the cracking part and developing process were observed. Finally, comparing the data in this test with that test result of the ring-beams and tie-columns masonry structure designed based on current codes; analyzed seismic performance of the strengthened masonry structure when rarely earthquake of Intensity 7 occurred.
The paper studies the safety condition of cell phone using to provide data and support for preventive measures to be made. The places with dense population such as stations and supermarkets are where the investigation is made, in which 682 cell phone users were investigated. Statistics is used to do the analysis (χ2 to inspect, P < 0.05 to show significant difference). The results of investigation show that (1) 10.7% of informants have no awareness of risks of cell phone charging. (2) 9.68% people use non original batteries or chargers and is especially serious with elder people (χ2=11.3526, P<0.05). (3) 97.8% people have overcharged up their batteries no matter they are well or poorly educated (χ2=1.5346 P >0.05). (4) Only 7.77% people use private sockets, with no relation to education level, age and gender (χ2=1.5346, χ2=1.0892, χ2=1.5346, all P >0.05). Conclusion: People have low awareness of safety use of cell phone and propagation and education should be strengthened.
