4), Ln = Tb (5)], have been synthesized under hydrothermal conditions and characterized by elemental analysis, IR, thermogravimetric analysis, and singlecrystal X-ray diffraction. X-ray structural analysis revealed that complexes 1 and 2 are the first Ln/Cu/K structures containing Cu(II) sandwiched in the interlayer regions of the two La/K planes alternately arranged along the b-axis. In complexes 3-5, two distinct types of building blocks, Ln(pydc)(H 2 O) 4 and Cu(pydc) 2 , are linked together by pydc ligands to form a two-dimensional net structure. The magnetic properties of 1 and 2 and the luminescence properties of 3-5 have been investigated.
A novel coordination polymer, [Mn(PDC)H 2 O] n (1) (H 2 PDC=pyridine-2,3-dicarboxylic acid), has been hydrothermally synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR and single crystal X-ray diffraction. X-ray single crystal structural analyses revealed that two-dimensional frameworks were formed, and further assembled into a three-dimensional supramolecular structure bridged by PDC ligands. Moreover, the magnetic study of complex 1 shows weak antiferromagnetic interaction between the neighboring Mn(II) centers within the chains and even weak ferromagnetic interactions between the Mn(II) centers in different chains.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
