The molecule of the title compound, C13H18N2O5, adopts a trans configuration with respect to the C=N bond. The dihedral angle between the benzene ring and the hydrazinecarboxylic acid plane is 49.75 (5)° and an intramolecular C—H⋯O interaction occurs. In the crystal structure, the molecules are linked into a chain along [010] by N—H⋯O hydrogen bonds, and a C—H⋯π contact further stabilizes the structure.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
