With the advent of the era of big data, it has become extremely easy for scientific users to have to access academic papers, which has enhanced their efficiency and capacity to search or browse papers. However, it also faces some problems such as the explosion of the literature or information overwhelming. Many researchers focus on academic paper recommendation service, hoping to help scientific users to find documents more efficiently and recommend interested or potentially interested papers which could assist academic users doing research. Through literature review, this paper make a comprehensive summary of the research on personalized academic papers recommendation, presenting the state-of-art of academic paper recommendation methodologies, pointing out its pros and cons and indicating primary evaluation metrics and popular datasets. Finnaly, we outlook the research trend of personalized academic paper recommendation as a reference for interested researchers.
Scientific and technical report is an important document type with high intelligence value. But the resource distribution of different carrier forms of scientific and technical report is not integrated and the resource description is not deeply and specific enough to the report document type, which influences the information searching accuracy and efficiency for users. Functional Requirements for Bibliographic Records (FRBR), an emerging model in the bibliographic domain, provides interesting possibilities in terms of cataloguing, representation and semantic enrichment of bibliographic data. This study employs the FRBR conceptual model and entity-relationship analysis method to design in-depth descriptive metadata schema of scientific and technical report by analyzing the entities and mapping the bibliographic attributes corresponding to the characteristics of report, which can help to integrating and disclosing scientific and technical report resources.
In this paper, we propose the development of multimedia digital library of popular news based on Functional Requirements for Bibliographic Records. The main motivation of this paper is to study the digitization of popular news, focusing on the conceptual design of a changeable data model the system is based on. This paper seeks to promote the example of FRBR, shows how it can be used to make use of the characteristic and functionality of the user's experience of using a multimedia digital library.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
