Telmisartan (TEL), a type of antihypertensive drug, has poor solubility. To improve its solubility, the co-amorphous telmisartan with pimelic acid (PA) in molar ratio of 1:1 and 2:1, respectively, were obtained using a liquid-assisted grinding method. The co-amorphous system was characterized by the powder X-ray diffraction and differential scanning calorimetry. The molecular interactions of the co-amorphous were studied by the infrared spectra. After the formation of co-amorphous, the solubility of TELwas much improved, and the apparent solubility values were approximately 9-15 times as high as that of crystalline TEL. Moreover, the co-amorphous TEL-PA was stored under 25 °C/20% RH for a month without any evidence of conversion by powder X-ray diffraction analysis.
From 1950s 13 NEE ground fissures have been found in the suburb and downtown area of Xi’an city. Ground fissures bring harm to the Xi'an municipal construction, especially to the subway construction. By dynamic characteristics of Xi’an ground fissures, factors influencing differential settlement are analyzed and a conclusion is drawn that exploitation of ground water and the differential clay thickness on both sides of ground fissures is the governing factor. The amount of differential settlement in the following 50 years is predicted by ground-water Model and Verhulst Model. Good agreement is shown between these results. It leads us to suggest that the differential settlement will cut off the subway tunnel in the future and actions must be taken in the design phase of subway tunnel.
Chaohu Stone is a distinct geological tourism resource, and its morphological diversity is shaped by unique local geological environments. However, the dedicated and systematic research is insufficient currently. Starting with regional tectonic characters and environmental conditions, this paper examines the distribution, traits, genesis and classification of Chaohu Stone. Results show that Chaohu Stone mainly includes carbonate rocks formed during the Carboniferous, Permian and Triassic periods. During long geological processes, the rocks have been altered by various external forces such as weathering, leaching, denudation and corrosion, etc., to produce various natural art forms with distinctive styles and shapes. Its morphological variations, eerie veins, rich fossils, unique nodules and smooth porosity differentiate the Chaohu Stone from other ornamental stones. Although Chaohu Stone has wide distribution, rich varieties, many genesis types and centuries of exploration, there is low degree of survey evaluation and genesis study, resulting in damage and squandering of this valuable wealth. Hence, we must highlight managements and protective exploitations of Chaohu Stone, particularly strengthening geological survey and genesis mechanism examination.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
