There are a series problems that are caused by the complex geological and various types of foundation soil of the canal during the excavation process in the first stage of the South-to-North Water Transfer Project, such as the different strength of the same rock, especially the undulating boundary of the rocks and the varying buried depth. The author made a detail research on the spatial distribution of the basic rocks and the calculation for the volume of the excavation to save the problems and calculate the excavation volume of the rocks with different strength, also the cross and vertical method were used to provide the necessary technology data and a technology support for planning and programming of project construction.

This article which based on the analysis of the Tibet Linzhi Duobu hydropower stations geological conditions, the review of the permeability coefficient, total water inflow estimation of foundation pit and other foundation researches compares and selects water-lowering schemes when the excavation of underground factory buildings starts. Comparing the impervious curtain and water-lowering scheme with full-well dewatering scheme on applicable conditions, advantages and disadvantages, construction program and cost accounting etc. in detail and the final selection is the "drain openly + the well dewatering program. This article also makes a very detailed discussion on construction management, operation mode, safeguard measures and contingency measures and hopes to have references to the follow-up projects.
This paper intends to solve the leakage of the surface waters on the proposed underground garage impact from a practical engineering, so we carry on the detailed analysis about the surrounding hydro geological conditions to provide scientific basis for underground garage waterproof design. On that basis, we establish the hydro geological conceptual model, using Visual MODFLOW4.1 software to simulate the seepage field in two kinds of working conditions, and get the result of the surface waters on the proposed garage impact. Thus in the underground garage of the soleplate waterproof design we adopt different block waterproof practices which may save a lot of fund, and have the important theoretical and practical significance to us.
In the conventional structure’s calculation and design, the rigid foundation assumption was often used in calculation of the dynamic properties and dynamic responses, while the actual situation is often very different. In this article, a steel frame model on the scale of 1/4 on the soil bin (no cover) indoor was excited to achieve the responses of structures with different stiffness. The responses were compared between the actual structure and the rigid foundation soil assumption structure simulated in the SAP2000 software. The results show that the stiffness of the upper structure has great effect on the acceleration, displacement and natural period of the structure when considering SSI.
