The monitoring of the viromes of mosquitoes and
Culicoides
, widely distributed arbovirus transmission vectors, is crucial to evaluate the risk of infectious disease transmission. In this study, the compositions of the viromes of mosquitoes and
Culicoides
on Zhoushan Island varied widely and were related mainly to the host species, with different host species having different core viromes. and many unknown sequences in the
Culicoides
viromes remain to be annotated, suggesting the presence of a large number of unknown viruses.

K. pneumoniae
. Strains of various sequence types coexist in the complex hospital environment; the quick emergence and spread of ST11 strains were mainly due to the plasmid-mediated acquisition of resistance genes. The spread of hospital infection was highly associated with several specific wards, suggesting the importance of genomic surveillance on wards at high risk of infection.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
