The equalization of urban public service facilities is important to the daily lives of urban residents. Spatial quantification of the supply and demand of public service facilities can reveal relationships between supply and demand agents and provide a foundation for the planning of urban public service facilities. This study proposed a comprehensive framework to assess the current state of supply (accessibility of facilities) and demand (population carrying pressure) of various public services in cities and determine patterns between different public service facilities. This framework contains three elements: (a) multi-scale spatial quantification of the matching of supply and demand, (b) spatial matching of supply and demand, and (c) spatial clustering analysis of the supply and demand balance. This study analyzed 19 major cities in China from a supply and demand perspective and examined implications for matching the supply and demand of public service facilities. The results indicated that education service facilities had the most appropriate supply and demand relationship. Areas where public service facilities had a good matching of supply and demand demonstrated a strong pattern of clustering. There were significant differences in the level of matching of the supply and demand of public service facilities among various regions in China. The limitations of the framework and future directions are discussed.
Diabetic retinopathy (DR) is a common complication and the leading cause of blindness in patients with type 2 diabetes. DR has been shown to be closely correlated with blood glucose levels and the duration of diabetes. However, the onset and progression of DR also display clinical heterogeneity. We applied whole-exome sequencing and RNA-seq approaches to study the gene mutation and transcription profiles in three groups of diabetic patients with extreme clinical phenotypes in DR onset, timing, and disease progression, aiming to identify genetic variants that may play roles in the pathogenesis of DR. We identified 23 putatively pathogenic genes, and ingenuity pathway analysis of these mutated genes reveals their functional association with glucose metabolism, diabetic complications, neural system activity, and dysregulated immune responses. In addition, ten potentially protective genes were also proposed. These findings shed light on the mechanisms underlying the pathogenesis of DR and may provide potential targets for developing new strategies to combat DR.
Digital design is a kind of emerging forms of expression in the digital era, and plays an essential role in architectural design. During the process of digital design technology application, when designer pursues the technology for digital performs, sometimes, they probably only focus on drawing effect and then disadvantages will appear that works lack designed analyses and artistic connotations. In the design of Yunshan Hall, we strive to abandon those disadvantages. We optimize technology platform for digital design and pay attention to humanized design and the application of geographical context factors. Yunshan Hall shape will be designed to have the characteristics of Northwest Hubei residential high-class club-style hotel by the survey and analysis for residential buildings in Yunyang area.
Design idea for Yunshan HallDesign Requirements. Shiyan area formerly known as Yunyang which locates in Hubei province, and adjacent to Henan, Chongqing, and Shanxi, is situated in the hinterland of Qinling Mountains, south of the Han River, with abundant geographical and cultural characteristics [2]. "Yunshan Hall" design requires that breaking through this geographical features, emphasizing the sense of closure and the center of area. Meanwhile, it also requires harmony with the terrain and the environment, the use of the traditional patio, corridor, the construction of the district both self-contained and complement each other; What's more, "Yunshan Hall" also pay attention to the sight of sightseeing, the building height strictly controlled within 10m, and with the terrain designed into a high and low scattered, vivid and exciting architectural forms to ensure that each space does not interfere with each other and combine with the actual terrain for vertical design. With Studying the horizontal layout of local dwelling practice, respecting the location of the contour line, the original ecological environment is not changed basically and the architecture is integrated into the original 7th International Conference on Energy, Environment and Sustainable Development (ICEESD 2018)
