A single phase earth fault location method for distribution automation of non-effectively earthed networks is presented. It is based on comparing the similarities of zero mode transient currents of faulty feeder, which is measured by the correlation coefficient. The correlation coefficient between the transient currents at the both end of a feeder section is close to 1 for the healthy section and-1 for the faulty section. The feasibility of the method was proved by simulation and field test results.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
