Three for one: Pyrrolyldipyrromethenes having different functional groups were efficiently synthesized from POCl(3)-promoted condensations between 5-chloro-2-formylpyrrole or isoindole derivatives and suitable pyrrole or indole fragments through a novel nucleophilic aromatic substitution of the initially formed protonated azafulvene rings.
Pyrrol hoch drei: Pyrrolyldipyrromethene mit verschiedenen funktionellen Gruppen wurden effizient durch POCl3‐vermittelte Kondensation von 5‐Chlor‐2‐formylpyrrolen oder ‐isoindolen mit geeigneten Pyrrol‐ oder Indolfragmenten synthetisiert. Dabei kommt es zu einer neuartigen nucleophilen aromatischen Substitution des anfänglich gebildeten protonierten Azafulvenrings.
