An inexpensive and efficient catalyst system has been developed for the N-arylation of nitrogen-containing compounds including a variety of amines, amides, indole and imidazole. This simple protocol uses CuI as the catalyst, commercial available pipecolinic acid as the new ligand, K 2 CO 3 as the base and DMF as the solvent.
It is found that a number of amines, amides, and N-heterocycles undergo efficient N-arylation in the presence of CuI and pipecolinic acid. -(GUO, X.; RAO, H.; FU*, H.; JIANG, Y.; ZHAO, Y.; Adv.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
