We studied relations between the microstructure and core loss of Mn-Zn ferrites for power supplies. As the results, we found that the lowest core loss was achieved at 100 kHz and 200 mT condition when the average grain size were 15 to 11 U m. Then, we examined the effect of the third element in addition to CaO-SiOZ on their deposition behavior In the grain boundary and we found the some additives such as NbzOs, TazOs and ZrOl which reduce the core loss. Further more, by optimizing the sintering condition, we were able to obtain the extremely low loss Mn-Zn ferrite material for power applications.Index Terms-Low loss Mn-Zn Ferrite, lOOkHz, Microstructure control, Grain boundary, additives.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
