The research on internally-formed pillar-shaped temperature field must be do, in order to solve the structure design and work mode design problems of the hot metal temperature sensor for the blast furnace. But the massive manpower and material resources would be consumed if the experimental method is utilized purely. Heat-conducting analysis model is established on pillar-shaped cavity by applying ANSYS. With simulating the characters of heat-conducting in the molten iron during temperature measurement , setting up parameters, putting on heat loads and setting up time, simulation study on the temperature field is carried out, and some graphic results are presented. Meanwhile, simulation experiments in lab and verifying experiments on site of the hot metal are carried out, which lead to the same results as ANSYS. This simulation study has an important guide meaning in optimizing the sensor design.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
