This is a description of the development of the first apperception test administered over the Internet-the Self Administered Global Apperception Scales™ or SAGAS™. A brief history of apperception tests will be provided, followed by a discussion of the formation of the current test, the computerized scoring system utilized, and the process used to obtain normative data. Uses for SAGAS™ will be delineated, along with future directions. 303
