The Research aimst to compare backpropagation and Learning Vector Quantization (LVQ) methods in exploring the potential of new students at STMIK PalComTech. Comparisons in this study involve four input variables used which consist of four basic subjects of informatics engineering and information systems (math, basic programming, computer networks and management bases) which then make informatics techniques and information systems as outputs, to get the accuracy level high in this study, the researchers used several variations of parameters which eventually produced the best accuracy of the two methods. From 120 data tested using variations in test data and training data which are then processed using variations in the learning rate parameters and epochs. From the test results obtained the level of accuracy of pattern recognition in the backpropagation method is 99.17% with a learning rate variation of 0.1 and epoch 100, the learning vector quantization method has an accuracy rate of 96.67% with a variation of learning rate 1 and epoch 20 From the results of the comparison the Backpropagation method is superior in terms of accuracy so that it becomes the right method to use in exploring the potential of new students at STMIK PalComTech.

MaxOne Hotel Palembang has a computer network that connects every device. A good network is reflected in the quality provided to its users. Computer networks and the internet become a necessity that can’t be separated when MaxOne Palembang Hotel runs its business processes, of course this results in higher tasks received by the network, therefore activities are needed to ensure the quality of the computer network network at MaxOne Hotel Palembang. This research applies the steps of action research method by applying the calculation of Quality of Service (QoS) with 4 (four) parameters, They are Throughput, Packet Loss, Delay and Jitter with Wireshark as a tool for measurement. After the measurement results are obtained, they will be compared with the quality standards of the computer networks its Telecommunications and Internet Protocol Harmonization Over Networks (TIPHON). The results of this research show the average throughput is 81.76%, packet loss is 2%, Delay is 0.432 ms, Jitter is 0.42 ms. The conclusion is the quality of the computer network and internet at the MaxOne Hotel Palembang from all the parameters used shows an index of 3.81 which means it is very satisfying.

Media interaktif mengenal nama-nama hewan ini menampilkan berbagai macam binatang dan Habitat nya. Disajikan dalam bentuk gambar dan tulisan. Proses penyampaian kepada anak-anak usia dini dibantu oleh guru pembimbingnya atau orang tua. Hal ini tentu menuntut untuk bisa menarik perhatian anak-anak dan berusaha mengoptimalkan penyampaian informasi yang ada di media interaktif ini agar bisa dicerna dengan baik.Bertitik tolak dari permasalahan tersebut, penulis akan merancang media pengajaran mengenal nama-nama berupa gambar yang menampilkan hewan yang juga dilengkapi dengan audio dari suara binatang. Elemen visual dan audio yang digabungkan dalam media ini diharapkan mampu mencapai tujuan dari perancangan media interaktif tersebut. Tujuan dari perancangan media interaktif itu sendiri adalah bagaimana agar penyampaian informasi tersebut lebih optimal dan dapat meningkatkan atensi serta kemandirian anak usia dini dalam mengenal mengenal hewan dan tumbuhan disekitar melalui media interaktif tersebut. Hasil perancangan media interaktif mengenal nama-nama hewan dikemas dalam bentuk aplikasi android dengan desain yang apik agar anak-anak menjadi tertarik. Dimana informasi yang dikemas adalah berupa mengenal nama-nama hewan, video bernyanyi dan kuis menebak hewan.
