Flexible and wearable strain sensors are and will remain in high demand due to their direct applications in biomedical health monitoring. The challenge is to make these sensors function continuously with no additional wired powered supply. In line with this, there been considerable research works towards the integration of supercapacitor materials into flexible and wearable strain sensors, to make them self-powered and more efficient.
