A series of Schiff base macrocyclic complexes of the type [HLMX2] where M = Cu(II), Ni(II), Co(II) and X = Cl, OAc have been synthesized by condensation of acetylacetone and thiocarbohydrazide (2:2) in the presence of divalent metal salt in methanolic medium. The complexes have been characterized with the help of elemental analysis, conductance measurements, magnetic measurements and their structural configuration have been determined by various spectroscopic (Electronic, IR,1H NMR,13C NMR, GCMS) techniques. Electronic and magnetic moments of the complexes indicate that the geometries of the metal centers are octahedral. These metal complexes were also tested for their antimicrobial activities to assess their inhibiting potential.
Denture labelling is gaining popularity in geriatric patients particularly for those staying alone or in old age home, especially the ones suffering from dementia or physical vulnerability. Various methods of denture labelling have been proposed by prosthodontists over the years. Prosthodontists are playing an important role in forensic odontology nowadays. This article highlights a method of denture identification marking wherein a patient’s photograph along with his name and emergency contact number is incorporated within the complete denture.
Sustainable coexistence of different components of an ecosystem is a fundamental requirement for the overall welfare of the human population worldwide. Despite this fact, continued growth in human population, increasing demand for various available natural resources, and invasion of all inhabitable habitats have led to the destruction of the coexistence of wildlife and human and also caused the fragmentation of natural habitat for the wildlife in India. This in turn may viciously affect the rural population residing in the nearby area of such regions, for example, the area covered for sanctuaries, which are established in consideration to provide protection to the indigenous wildlife. Hence, it becomes essential to mitigate such conflicts to create a healthy environment for cosurvival of all stakeholders. Here, in this study, we have tried to figure out the possible reasons and provide certain cures to avoid the recurring human-wildlife conflicts in one of the largest wildlife sanctuaries, Hastinapur wildlife sanctuary, situated in Uttar Pradesh, India.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
