The photovoltaic (PV) system put on a roof has attracted a lot of attention because of its ability to generate clean energy while having a negligible effect on the natural environment. PV energy sources' intermittent operation causes voltage quality issues, and advances in semiconductor technology tend to raise current harmonic distortion levels. The most prevalent source of imbalance between the transmission and generating sides of the system is a problem with power quality at the load side. Unified Power Quality Conditioner (UPQC) is a method for improving power quality that may be employed when power quality issues take on new forms. The MATLAB-Simulink program stimulates a dynamic model of a confederated Three-Phase PV-UPQC study. The developed unified power quality conditioner with solar array successfully reduces the current and voltage harmonics, as shown by the MATLAB simulation results.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
