To date, the number of endovitreal interventions (EVI) is steadily increasing every year, and with them the understanding of the most common negative effects of these manipulations on some structures of the eye. One of the most common complications of EVI is the formation of cataracts. The aim of the study was to identify morphometric changes in the lens and the depth of the anterior chamber of the eye after EVI. The 1st study group consisted of patients after vitrectomy with tamponade of the vitreal cavity with sterile BSS solution, the 2nd group included patients after intravitreal injections of anti-VEGF drugs. We have not recorded significantly significant changes in the studied parameters, which allowed us to conclude that there is no significant effect of some types of EVI on the rate of cataractogenesis. Keywords: cataract, vitrectomy, lens
