In this article, the authors explore the polarity of views within the American political establishment on the problem of US participation in the war in Afghanistan, as well as relations with the countries of Central Asia. Each of these groups has its own vision on the future of U.S. military campaign offering various solutions for the dialog with Taliban, increase U.S. troops, support of Afghanistan government, and role of regional powers such as Uzbekistan, China, Russia, India and even Iran in Afghanistan’s domestic affairs. Also, some of these groups offers to find a mediator among Central Asian countries for the negotiations between Afghanistan government and Taliban.
In this article, the author tries to analyze the integration processes of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Тhe prospects and threats that await Uzbekistan if it joins the EAEU were considered. The author also analyzed the studies of leading experts on the issue of Uzbekistan joining the Union. In the final part of the article, conclusions are drawn. On the one hand, adherents of integration argue that the republic’s entry into the Union will reduce customs duties for Uzbek exports to the Russian Federation, new markets for Uzbek products will be opened, transportation opportunities will be opened, etc. Joining the EAEU will facilitate the life of labor migrants, although this indicates an undeveloped labor market, high unemployment and a weak economy in the country. All these factors lead to the drain of labor and brain.
Bilateral cooperation between the Republics of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan are discussed in the article. The Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Kazakhstan are on the threshold of a new relationship, which will be aimed at creating a stable economic situation throughout Central Asia, which will make us an economically powerful region of the world. Also, in the article the economic and human potential of both states are analyzed, common historical roots and long-standing friendship are examined. The authors come to the conclusion that the main task of the Republic of Uzbekistan is to maximize the potential of Kazakh-Uzbek cooperation to achieve strategic benefits for the two countries
The article analyzes the work of Sh. Mirziyoyev during his tenure as president. The author also tries to analyze the foreign and domestic policy of the Republic of Uzbekistan when the new President of the country was coming. In a short period of time, Sh. Mirziyoyev carried out a colossal work. A new stage of development a new stage of political, economic, and social reforms began for Uzbekistan. The head of state managed to bring foreign policy to a completely different level. Within the framework of the Strategy of action on five priority directions of development of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2017- 2021, the new President outlined the main priority of Uzbekistan's foreign policy - Central Asia. Sh. Mirziyoyev voiced his intentions to create a belt of good neighborliness and mutually beneficial cooperation in the Central Asian region. But implementing a multi-vector and balanced foreign policy, he managed to establish cooperation not only with neighboring republics but also with the leaders of world powers. The leader of the Republic of Uzbekistan shows his openness, readiness for dialogue, and strengthening of mutual trust and cooperation with all countries.
