A finite element method (FEM) was created to simulate the sound radiation of compressor shell based on Fluid Structural interaction (FSI), by which the structure response (displacements) could be calculated considering the influence of lubrication oil. The coupling modal of shell was stored under different volumes of oil; the structure response (displacements) and the distribution of sound pressure were calculated under excited by concentrated force. According to the analysis results, the 5th and 10th natural frequencies were changed obviously since the presence of lubrication oil. That was, the natural frequency gradually change to low frequency region along with increasing volume of lubrication oil. Peak value of sound radiation aggrandized as the volume of oil grows ranged from 1000Hz to 2000Hz, and the corresponding frequency also changed to high frequencies domain. Finally, this conclusion could be confirmed by experiment, which could provide the references for design of refrigerator compressor.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
