This research aims to improve students’ interpersonal intelligence by using peer lesson learning strategy. This research is based on the findings of learning conditions in the classroom which shows the students’ interpersonal intelligence is still low. Low interpersonal intelligence of students can be seen from the way students cooperation and how to convey opinions to other students. The formulation of research problem in this research is how to plan peer lesson learning strategy, how the implementation stages of peer lesson learning strategy, how to improve interpersonal intelligence after using peer lesson strategy and teacher’s effort in overcoming obstacles by using peer lesson learning strategy to improve intelligence interpersonal students. Thus, the researcher did a research by using Classroom Action Research Methods by adopting Kemmiss and Taggart models. The design of this model has several stages: action planning, action execution, observation, and reflection for revision in the next action. Data collection techniqs used observation, interviews and documentation studies. Meanwhile, data collection tools used interview guides, observation guides and field notes. Based on the result of the research showed an increasement of students’ interpersonal intelligence in history learning by using peer lesson learning strategy. The increasement can be seen from the achievement of several indicators of improvement of students’ interpersonal intelligence, among others; teach peers, engage in group or joint activities, work effectively with others and communicate effectively, both verbally and non-verbally. The Marton Phenomenography Analysis model is interesting to apply because it has a significant characteristic of learning that is based on two academic learning patterns, namely "surface" and "in-depth" learning approaches. This study aimed to investigate students’ historical thinking ability using the Marton Phenomenography Analysis. Qualitative method was utilized with a phenomenography approach. The phenomenography approach was aimed to identify students’ historical thinking ability as they experience, conceptualize, perceive, and understand various historical phenomena of social movements. The subjects were students who took part in Social History. Data were collected from examination, observation, interviews and document study. The results showed that students who have "surface" and "in-depth" learning patterns have different thinking patterns, perspectives, and perceptions. There is a significant difference as much as 12.11% in the historical thinking ability between both groups. The "in-depth" group has an advantage over the "surface" group in terms of understanding changes, comparing historical narratives, interpreting history, understanding historical interpretation, as well as constructing history. Both the "in-depth" and "surface" groups have a good ability in the aspect of knowledge on facts and how to search for historical sources. Finally, both groups have less ability to develop different thinking patterns, create questions from historical stories, and evaluate historical sources.
This study is a response to the current conditions of social studies teaching and learning in Indonesia, which are considered tedious, emphasizing low-level components of intellectual growth. Such conditions necessitate the development of the Social Sciences teachers’ creativity to create enjoyable learning that accommodates students' competency attainment. This study aims to investigate, analyze, and characterise edutainment-based social science learning innovations adopted in junior high school. Research and development were employed in the study. It began with a preliminary investigation, followed by constructing an educational entertainment model. According to the study's findings, there are three forms of edutainment development in social science education. These include instructional games, edutainment through the "If History" technique, and edutainment through creative writing techniques. These three methods were found to be promoting students’ participation in the learning process through engaging activities and exploring content familiar to the student's context. This type of research has the potential to develop a creative and innovative Social Science learning model in junior secondary education. Keywords: education in the social sciences, edutainment, learning model
