A copper-catalyzed one-pot process for the construction of benzo [4,5]imidazo[1,2-a]quinoxalines under air is described. Aryl chlorides, aryl bromides, and aryl iodides can be applied to the synthesis of these compounds.
An Efficient One-Pot Synthesis of Benzo[4,5]imidazo[1,2-a]quinoxalines via Copper-Catalyzed Process. -An efficient domino process for the synthesis of the title compounds from N-tosyl-O-halogenoanilines and 2-chlormethylbenzimidazoles is developed. The process is successfully applied to a halopyridine (VI) as well. -(HUANG, A.; CHEN, Y.; ZHOU, Y.; GUO, W.; WU, X.; MA*, C.; Org. Lett. 15 (2013) 21, 5480-5483, http://dx.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
