This study aims to investigate the impact of social distancing policies on SMEs in Indonesia. It used a quantitative method with a survey design. Respondents were all SMEs in Indonesia that are affected by social distancing policies during the COVID-19 pandemic. It involved a total of 587 SME samples selected randomly. The data were collected through observations, questionnaires, and literature studies. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics with SPSS software to determine the mean value. The result showed that social distancing policies affect SMEs during the COVID-19 pandemic. This is indicated by the decreasing income and demand for SMEs products, and even some have no income (mean values of 2.40) due to the social distancing policies. Besides, the policy’s impact is also shown in the increasing cost of raw materials and production costs due to supply chain problems (mean values of 4.79). The policy’s impact raises anxiety for SMEs to survive so that business actors change their plans by utilizing information technology (mean values of 4.81). This change is a strategy to survive due to the impact of the applied policies. Although social distancing policies affect SMEs’ survival during the pandemic, research findings show that SMEs in Indonesia did not terminate employment (mean values of 4.37) due to the presence of economic stimulus policies that helped SMEs survive and grow during the COVID-19 pandemic.
COVID-19 is an unusual scary virus and surprisingly affects the world economy. The condition demands that various countries in the world apply containment policies combined with various public health measures and make economic activities paralyzed, especially for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs). SMEs are considered to have potential innovation capabilities and can create new market opportunities, so governments should consider measures to relieve the burden of SMEs to stay afloat and keep growing during a pandemic. The purpose of this paper is to rethink the strategy of maintaining SMEs during a pandemic in the hopes that if such a situation occurs in the future then this strategy can be applied. This paper covers strategies from various countries that successfully retain SMEs during a pandemic. Qualitative methods with secondary data sources obtained from official government websites, media, economic bulletins, and international journals related to SMEs. This paper is expected to contribute to various countries to maintain SMEs, especially in countries whose economic growth has paralyzed the impact of the pandemic.
This study aims to find out how the organizational climate and the implementation of Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB), as well as the factors that influence both aspects of the KSP Bina Sejahtera. This research is a type of qualitative research that is descriptive. Data sources come from observation and in-depth interviews. The data analysis technique used is interactive analysis of Milles and Hubberman, where data is collected, presented, reduced, and drawn conclusions. The results show that a good organizational climate and the application of Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) are very important for the progress of an organization because it has influence on increasing maximum performance. In addition, the organizational climate influences the creation of OCB actions carried out by employees, because the organizational climate is an initial condition that triggers OCB. When the organizational climate is good, the members of the organization will always support the work beyond the obligations they should and will always support the goals of the organization. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana iklim organisasi dan penerapan Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB), serta faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kedua aspek tersebut pada KSP Bina Sejahtera. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif. Sumber data berasal dari observasi dan wawancara mendalam (in-depth interview). Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis interaktif Milles dan Hubberman, dimana data dikumpul, disajikan, direduksi, dan ditarik kesimpulan.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bahwa iklim organisasi yang baik dan adanya penerapan Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) sangatlah penting bagi kemajuan sebuah organisasi karena memiliki pengaruh terhadap peningkatan kinerja yang maksimal. Selain itu, iklim organisasi mempengaruhi terciptanya tindakan OCB yang dilakukan oleh karyawan, karena iklim organisasi merupakan kondisi awal yang memicu terjadinya OCB. Ketika iklim organisasi baik maka anggota organisasi akan selalu mendukung pekerjaan melebihi kewajiban seharusnya dan akan selalu mendukung tujuan organisasi.
Currently, leadership becomes the concern of studies in public organizations. However, studies on servant leadership and its impact on hospital performance are still limited. This study aims to identify the relationship and impact of servant leadership on organizational performance (hospital). A quantitative approach was used on a sample of 729 healthcare workers at the Undata Regional General Hospital in Palu. The sampling was based on the Slovin formula with an error rate of 5%, thus it involved 258 respondents. Further, the sample was selected using a random proportional sampling technique to represent each field in the hospital. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and simple linear regression analysis with hypothesis testing. The results of descriptive analysis on the servant leadership variable showed that the highest mean value is the item stating that leadership in the hospital has a thorough understanding of the organization and its goals. Meanwhile, the lowest is the item stating that leaders sacrifice their interests less to meet the needs of healthcare workers. In the organizational performance variable, the highest mean value is the item that states that healthcare workers can work effectively every working day, while the lowest is the item of patients complaining about healthcare procedures. Furthermore, the results of regression analysis through hypothesis testing showed that servant leadership has a significant effect on organizational performance of hospitals with a strong level of relationships.
The aim of this research is to determine simultaneous and partial influence of personality (X1) and family environment (X2) on entrepreneurial intentions (Y) of students. Subjects of this research involve students of The Management Department, Tadulako University with a sample of 88 respondents. This consists of 28 students of 2012 class, 26 students of 2013 class, and 34 students of 2014 class. Data collecting method apply observation, interviews, and questionnaires that analyzed with multiple linear regressions by using SPSS for Windows Release 16,0 software. The result shows that: 1) personality and family environment simultaneously have significant influence on entrepreneurial intention of student in the Management Department of University of Tadulako; 2) personality partially has significant influence on entrepreneurial intention of student in the Management Department of University of Tadulako; 3) family environment has significant influence on entrepreneurial intention of student in the Management Department of University of Tadulako. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh secara serempak dan parsial dari kepribadian (X1) dan lingkungan keluarga (X2), terhadap Minat Berwirausaha (Y). Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Manajemen Fakultas Ekonomi Universitas Tadulako, dengan sampel 88 orang, yang terdiri dari 28 mahasiswa manajemen angkatan 2012, 26 mahasiswa manajemen angkatan 2013 dan 34 mahasiswa manajemen angkatan 2014. Pengambilan data menggunakan metode observasi, wawancara, dan kuesioner kemudian diolah dengan menggunakan alat analisis regresi linearberganda dengan program SPSS For Windows Release 16.0. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa 1) kepribadian dan lingkungan keluarga secara serempak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Minat Berwirausaha mahasiswa Manajemen Fakultas Ekonomi Universitas Tadulako, 2) kepribadian berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Minat Berwirausaha mahasiswa Manajemen Fakultas Ekonomi Universitas Tadulako, dan 3) lingkungan keluarga berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Minat Berwirausaha mahasiswa Manajemen Fakultas Ekonomi Universitas Tadulako.
