Partially oxidized
TaC0.58normalN0.42
has been investigated as a cathode for polymer electrolyte fuel cells (PEFCs). Catalytic activity for the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) significantly depends on the oxidation state of
TaC0.58normalN0.42
.
TaC0.58normalN0.42
and
Ta2normalO5
had a poor catalytic activity for the ORR. The onset potential on the partially oxidized
TaC0.58normalN0.42
for the ORR had a maximum value of 0.83 V vs a reversible hydrogen electrode in
0.1moldm−3
normalH2SO4
at
30°C
. X-ray diffraction analysis showed that the specimens, which had a definite catalytic activity for the ORR, had both
TaCxnormalNy
and
Ta2normalO5
peaks. This result indicated that an appropriate oxidation of the
TaC0.58normalN0.42
was essential to enhance the catalytic activity for the ORR.
GNRI significantly associated with cardiac events after elective PCI. Further studies should be performed to establish appropriate therapeutic strategies for this vulnerable patient group.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
