The most air-stable disilene, tetrakis(2,4,6-triisopropylphenyl) disilene was obtained by the direct treatment of dichloromonosilane, bis(2,4,6-triisopropylphenyl)dichlorosilane, with lithium naphthalenide. The Si=Si bond, the distance being 2.144 Å via X-ray structure analysis, was found to be sterically covered with the four bulky substituents.
SzcPnmayy Chlorotris(tripheny1phosphine)rhodium has been found to be an extremely effective catalyst for the hydrosilylation of carbonyl compounds.
RHODIUM(I)complexes are effective catalysts for various reactions1 However, catalysis of the hydrosilylation of carbonyl compounds has not hitherto been reported.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
