A sys tematic review of clinical pharmacy assessment articles published from 2003 to 2016 was conducted. The electronic databases used to identify relevant studies were PUBMED, Science Direct, Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews and Google Scholar. Search terms used were "Pharmacy student*" [MeSH] AND "assessment" [MeSH]) AND "Clinical skills" [MeSH]. The variables coded included characteristics of the assessment (e.g. aim, level, duration, learning and teaching methods), methods and outcomes. The electronic database search retrieved 122 articles while only 14 studies fulfilled the eligibility criteria. According to the review, it was indicated that methods of student clinical skills evaluation using OSCE has been implemented widely in pharmacy schools. OSCE has been used to evaluate the outcome of pharmacy courses and entry to practice examination, served as primary assessment tool in pharmacy education. Regarding the validation of the OSCE methods, the OSCE was valid, reliable and acceptable to be implemented. Pharmacy students felt that they learned clinical patient care better when using OSCE and many of them indicated the need for more exposure and additional class to improve skills. OSCE are formally involved in clinical skills assessment and as an important part of the educational life cycle for pharmacists. OSCE can play an important role in the pharmacy curriculum and providing students with a real-world context for understanding complex patient care needs.
This research aimed to investigate the implementation of blended learning (BL), which was designed in a group of pre-service chemistry teachers at higher education institutions. Blended learning was implemented by holding face-to-face lectures combined with online lectures using the Schoology Learning Management System (LMS). Meanwhile, the research employed a qualitative approach. The purpose of this study was to discover learning experiences and perceptions of students who have applied BL in practical learning. The results showed that students found new experiences during blended learning. Based on experience, students felt independence, flexibility, and ease in working on problems. Furthermore, students’ perceptions showed a comfortable feeling because learning process was flexible, structured, active, and up-to-date. Given the advantages of BL, pre-service chemistry teachers expressed their interest in applying BL to the learning process when they have become teachers. However, there were some shortcomings of BL, namely slow internet connection and Schoology LMS that often logged the students out on its own during test. However, students liked the flexibility of classes conducted by video call via WhatsApp application. In further research, it is necessary to redesign the learning process, so that the communication between lecturers and students will be balanced during face-to-face learning and online learning and the learning process will be more effective.
Organic chemistry is one of the courses that must be taken by a pre-service teacher. However, not all students like the subject, on the other hand they have to learn. Practicum of Organic chemistry has been carried out for some time by chemistry education students. Therefore to bridge the gap and problems. It needs to be an improvement to find out the problem. Therefore it is necessary to reflect on organic chemistry practicum using videos. This research was in the form of observation of learning organic chemistry which was participated by 29 semester 3 chemistry education students with acetic acid synthesis material, saponification and synthesis of butyl acetate. Based on the results of the study concluded that 1). It is important to prepare students' skills in using equipment 2). Practical topics getting closer to everyday products, will be more interesting, 3).Preliminary confirmation before practicum is important to ensure student readiness, 4). Reflection is very helpful in reminding lecturers of the results of learning objectives.
Siswa sekolah menengah merupakan kelompok remaja yang rentan di masa pandemi COVID-19 ini, terutama terkait model aktivitas berkelompok dan wacana pembelajaran tatap muka yang akan diberlakukan. Oleh karena itu, perlu upaya peningkatan kepatuhan dalam menjalankan protokol kesehatan (prokes) pada kelompok sasaran ini. Tujuan dari kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini adalah untuk peningkatan pengetahuan dan pemahaman tentang protokol kesehatan 5M di kalangan siswa SMK Kesehatan di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Metode kegiatan dilaksanakan dengan edukasi secara daring dalam bentuk webinar menggunakan platform Zoom meeting dan penayangan video edukasi prokes. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh 84 peserta (response rate 84%). Peningkatan pemahaman peserta tentang materi edukasi diukur secara kuantitatif dengan pemberian pre-test dan post-test. Hasil pengukuran menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan peserta secara signifikan sebelum dan setelah edukasi (p < 0,05) dengan selisih – 6,50 (IK 95%, -8,11 sampai -4,94). Hal menarik lain yang mengemuka adalah antusiasme peserta terhadap program vaksinasi COVID-19. Dari kegiatan ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa edukasi tentang prokes dapat meningkatkan skor pengetahuan siswa SMK Kesehatan.
Saat ini dapat dikatakan bahwa obat termasuk dalam kebutuhan pokok rnasyarakat. Obat bukanlah komoditas sepertihalnya sembako, ada banyak peraturan terkait peredaran obat. BPOM telah rnenerbitkan peraturan Nomor 8 tahun 2020untuk rnengatur dan rnengawasi penjualan obat secara daring dan sudah disosialisasikan. Kemajuan teknologi informasidan perkembangan tingkat pemanfaatan layanan daring untuk mendapatkan obat terutama di masa pandemi Covid-19meningkat. Obat keras harus didistribusikan ke pasien berdasar resep dokter dan disertai informasi edukasi sertapernastian penggunaan yang tepat bagi pasien.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian observasional dengan pendekatan kualitatif untuk mengkaji implementasi peraturanBPOM Nomor 8 tahun 2020 dalam praktek pelayanan kefarmasian di apotek dalam peredaran obat keras secara daring.Populasi penelitian ini adalah masyarakat yang berkunjung di sarana pelayanan kefarmasian di apotek wilayahKabupaten Sleman Yogyakarta. Pengarnbilan data dilakukan dengan metode observasi dan wawancara. Instrumenberupa panduan wawancara disusun berdasarkan kerangka teori COM-B (Capability, Opportunity, Motivation,Behavior). Responden wawancara adalah masyarakat yang berkunjung di sarana pelayanan kefarmasian di apotek yangmernenuhi kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi. Data kualitatif hasil wawancara dianalisis secara ternatik dengan menggunakanbantuan software NVIVO 11 Plus. Hasil penelitian pada umumnya masyarakat tidak mengetahui adanya regulasi mengenai peredaran obat secara daringdengan mendetail namun paham akan tujuan regulasi. Masyarakat menyatakan kemudahan penggunaan pelayanan obatdaring, walaupun ada kerugian yang mereka rasakan seperti harga lebih mahal serta dapat saja membeli obat yang salah.Masyarakat berkeinginan untuk terus melakukan pembelian secara daring dan keinginan adanya peraturan khusus yanglebih detail mengenai peraturan tersebut.
