Abstract-This paper proposes a new frame synchronizer that can achieve frame sync in presence of frequency offset. In particular, a maximum likelihood (ML) algorithm for joint frame synchronization, frequency and channel estimation is developed. Its derivation starts with the assumption of additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) channels, but the results is extended to frequency selective channels. It is shown through computer simulation that the proposed scheme outperformed the existing schemes when frequency offset exists.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
