On the basis of an analysis of the temperature field in a thermoplastic placed in the corresponding processing equipment, an examination is made of the problem of determining the optimum regime parameters for the highfrequency welding of plastics. It is shown that the optimum process parameters are those ensuring a comparatively narrow depth of the heat-affected zone. The optimum depth of the heat-affected zone is determined for cases of the high-frequency welding of specimens of polyamide and polyvinyl chloride.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
