The results of water pouring of flat samples from chopped quartz fibers with a diameter of 12 microns and an elongation of 560…1680 are presented. Experimental values of water permeability coefficient through highly porous flat samples were obtained. The constant in the Kozeni-Karman permeability formula is determined depending on the porosity of the fiber layer.
The results of investigations of high-temperature and low-density heat insulation of pump-compressor pipes made of short basalt fibers and alumina bundles are presented. It is shown that in order to achieve a significant reduction in the thermal conductivity of the material from the initial staple fibers, it is necessary to grind them and clean them from impurities by liquid method. It is shown that the heat-insulating coating has restrictions on the thickness of the insulation wall and the size of the running mass of the pipe.
The paper studies technology issues of verification processes in regard to the software systems 3D numerical simulation using topological optimization of the particular product and its influence on the efficiency of a certain kind of components. Numerical simulation made it possible to construct a solid model of the selected component with the set boundary conditions in several of the most popular analysis programs in the automated engineering calculations environment. A finite element model was created for each stage of the calculation. Results of topological optimization were compared with various digital products. Advantages and disadvantages of the selected software systems were highlighted.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
