The geological data on the Turbiv deposit of eluvial kaolins, which is located in Vinnytsia district of Vinnytsia region near the village of Turbiv and is a part of Glukhivetsko-Turbivsky kaolin district, were generalized. Based on the coordinates and description of the wells, the topography of the base and surface of the eluvial kaolin deposits, as well as the lateral change in their thickness, was studied. It has been established that the surface relief and the thickness of the weathering crust are poorly correlated with each other and are conditioned by the history of the geological and geomorphological development of the territory, in particular, by the development of the Middle Eocene, Miocene and modern hydrographic networks, as a result of which the weathering crust was partially eroded. Data on the vertical zonality of the weathering crust and the material composition of its zones are presented. It has been established that the transitions between the zones are not clear, sometimes there are no separate zones, and the profile of the weathering crust, the lithological composition of its zones are determined by the petrotype of the basement crystalline rocks, their mineral composition and the degree of hypergene transformation. The material composition of eluvial kaolins is characterized. Based on the results of well testing and chemical analysis of kaolins, the lateral distribution of oxides of iron, aluminum, titanium and whiteness was studied. It has been established that the spatial distribution of the whiteness index within the deposit varies widely and correlates with the contents of Fe2O3 and TiO2, or one of the indicated oxides. It has been established that in most of the deposit area, the content of Al2O3 is clearly correlated with the whiteness index, namely, areas with a high content of Al2O3 correspond to areas with high whiteness values and vice versa. The vertical distribution of iron, aluminum, titanium oxides and whiteness kaolin within individual wells was studied. It was found that the whiteness index has a direct correlation with the content of Al2O3 and mainly inverse correlation with Fe2O3 and TiO2, оr with one of the oxides. Information is given on the content of iron oxides and the whiteness of kaolins within different subsoil use areas. Kaolins have been found to be enriched in zircon, ilmenite, monazite and rare earth elements, which can be extracted during field development and kaolin enrichment. The conclusion is made about the complexity of the Turbivsky deposit of eluvial kaolins. Based on the analysis of multi-temporal space images, the dynamics of changes in the area of the disturbed geological environment as a result of the extraction of eluvial kaolins during 1990-2020 was studied.
The formation of technogenic reservoirs of coal-rock massifs is determined by the depth of development, lithological features of the host rocks and the gas content of the coal-rock massif. The formation and redistribution of gas-saturated zones and migration routes in coal-rock massifs continues even now, which is associated with modern fluid migration. Gas, filling the mine workings of closed mines, creates a threat to communications, structures as a result of explosions and has a negative impact on human health. It has been established that the regular distribution of gaseous hydrocarbons is determined by discontinuities and confirms not only the diffusion gas saturation of the massif, but also the tempo, that is, the gas saturation of the massif through discontinuities during tectonic (tectonic-magmatic) activations. At the same time, it should be noted that geological discontinuities were not the “transport arteries” of gaseous hydrocarbons not throughout the entire space. For most of its strike, coal and rocks in the zones of discontinuities are folded, and there is almost no gas transmission. The worked-out space of active mines is a new technogenic reservoir suitable for the accumulation of gaseous hydrocarbons, the thickness of which exceeds the thickness of the coal seam. The active processes of gas migration in the exhaust space are indicated by the study of the residual gas component, in the mixture of which helium, hydrogen and quantitative changes in hydrocarbon gases (C2 - C6) were found.
On the basis of these experimental data from the geological mapping of the four leaves of the territory at a scale of 1:50000, a scheme of the spacious expansion of the Middle Ecene continental fluvial deposits was created. Data on the morphological and morphological life of the river paleovalleys have been given. It has been traced to the formation of the mid-ocene continental fluvial deposits of the middle stratified concentrations near the boundaries of different paleovalleys, which are found near the Dniprovsko-Donetsk depression.
The article considers and analyzes the geographical distribution of waste heaps of the coal mining industry, physicochemical and exogenous geological processes that occur in the middle and on their surface. The influence of morphology, material composition, reclamation of waste heaps on the intensity of development of various technogenic-geological processes that negatively affect the environment is briefly considered. Recommendations on obligatory certification of waste heaps are given and the content of the passport is given. It is recommended to use different time sensing materials of the Earth for monitoring and certification of waste heaps.
The results of the study of ilmenite bearing capacity and structural-lithological studies of weathering crusts and their erosion products in the study area are presented. Based on the results of these studies, several ilmenite deposits were modeled within the Novomyrhorod titanium-bearing region.
