The goal of ICC (International color consortium) color management system (CMS) is to reproduce color fidelity regardless of the hardware or platform used to capture, view or print them. The accuracy of profiles decides the precision of color conversion; therefore, creating device profiles accurately is very essential for color management. In this paper, according to the ICC standard format, we used Matrix-LUT (look up table) model, which can increase the color conversion precision to create monitor profile. In laboratory environment, we used X-Rite DPT92 to calibrate the monitor, and then we made about 1000 color patches and measured the RGB and the corresponding XYZ of each patch. We adopted linear interpolation method to establish the LUT between RGB and XYZ. The experimental results are good, and then we finished the monitor profile by the ICC format, realized CRT monitor color management. 1.INTRDUCTIONThe results that a color imaging transferred from input device to output device are often dissatisfied because that each color-imaging device has its own color space for describing color. In order to solve this problem, the International Color Consortium (ICC) was established in 1993. A device-independent color space was introduced to the ICC color management system and called profile connection space (PCS). The PCS is the heart of the ICC color management system .Any device color can communicate with other device colors through the PCS,which is regarded as the bridge to connect different color spaces. The color transformation by ICC color management is based on the Profile-PCS-Profile model, therefore the first step for applying color management is to create ICC profiles for each device, which is the device calibration. This step is critical for the quality of the color transformation between devices. ICC profiles contain data representing the color characteristics of devices, which provide converted data for the color management model (CMM). Color devices are divided into three broad classifications by ICC specification: input devices, display devices and output devices. For each device class, a series of base algorithmic models are described detailed in the specification. As a part of the ICC color management, a CMM is a component to interpret ICC profiles for color transformation. A CMM converts source device *
