High-performance electrocatalysts with cost-effectiveness are the key to advances in the areas of energy conversion and storage. To overcome this challenge, nitrogen doped carbon supported iron -doped titanium nitride nanoparticles...
In this paper, TiC particle reinforced high chromium cast iron matrix composites were prepared in situ by casting and infiltration method. The effects of different volume fractions of moderator on the size of reinforced particles, volume fractions of reinforced particles, hardness of composites and abrasive wear were studied. The results show that the TiC particles become smaller and more uniform with the increase of the volume fraction of moderator, and the volume fraction of the enhanced particles also decreases with the increase of the volume fraction of moderator. The hardness of TiC increased by 69%. Abrasive wear tests show that the abrasive wear resistance of the composite with moderator content of 20% is the best, the lowest wear rate can reach 2.011E-008,and the wear resistance is 1.8 times higher than that of the metal matrix.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
