Tungsten trioxide has attracted extensive attention for photocatalytic applications owing to its unique structure and intrinsic merits; however, small specific surface area and rapid electron-hole recombination still limit its adsorption...
The microstructure and oxidation behavior of Inconel 690 alloy were investigated after aging at 850°C for different times. Also, the relationship between structural stability and oxidation behavior was analyzed. Cr23C6 appeared at grain boundaries after aging, and the shape and size of Cr23C6 changed significantly with aging time. Besides, the mechanical properties and oxidation behavior also changed with aging time. The hardness decreased first, then increased, and finally decreased to be stable. The type of oxide layer changed from (Cr, Fe)2O3 to NiCrO3, and then to (Cr, Fe)2O3 again. Oxidation shedding occurred after aging for 504 h. And, there was a porous zone beneath the oxide layer when the aging time reached 720 h. The results indicated that aging time had a significant effect on the structure stability and oxidation behavior.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
